Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , Other Electronic and Optoelectronic sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted declined 0.78%.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Sunko Ink Co Ltd (TW:1721), which rose 9.98% or 2.00 points to trade at 22.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Daxin Materials Corp (TW:5234) added 9.96% or 22.50 points to end at 248.50 and Chaintech Technology Corp (TW:2425) was up 9.95% or 4.05 points to 44.75 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101), which fell 9.95% or 0.21 points to trade at 1.90 at the close. Lead Data Inc (TW:2443) declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to end at 3.57 and Copartner Technology Corp (TW:3550) was down 6.93% or 1.90 points to 25.50.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Sunko Ink Co Ltd (TW:1721) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 9.98% or 2.00 to 22.05. Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101) fell to all time lows; down 9.95% or 0.21 to 1.90. Shares in Daxin Materials Corp (TW:5234) rose to all time highs; gaining 9.96% or 22.50 to 248.50.

Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.25% or 0.18 to $70.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.28% or 0.21 to hit $74.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 7.80 to trade at $2,622.40 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was unchanged 0.02% to 31.93, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.32% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 100.25.
