Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.28%.

The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR), which rose 5.04% or 0.70 points to trade at 14.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Greek Organisation of Football Prognostics SA (AT:OPAr) added 3.27% or 0.50 points to end at 15.80 and Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr) was up 2.35% or 0.04 points to 1.83 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr), which fell 2.17% or 0.05 points to trade at 2.25 at the close. Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) declined 2.05% or 0.03 points to end at 1.53 and HELLENiQ ENERGY Holdings SA (AT:HEPr) was down 1.91% or 0.13 points to 6.68.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 60 to 54 and 21 ended unchanged.

Shares in Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.17% or 0.05 to 2.25.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.13% or 30.20 to $2,705.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.24% or 0.87 to hit $70.97 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.97% or 0.72 to trade at $74.95 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.67% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.16% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 107.57.
